Reviewed by Yustia Rahmawati (p.matswa 09 / 09301244005)From the results of research by the author (1995, 1997, 1999, 2002) shows that most of teachers of mathematics are still implement traditional mathematics learning, that is the learning mathematics with the cycle : explain, give examples, ask questions and give the task in the classical style. With this method then the math teachers have difficulty, that is : serve the needs of students, inccrease their achievment, encouraging students to learn actively, using of teaching aids, encourage students to learn cooperation.
Development Model of Learning Math
Efforts to overcome difficulties of service the teachers to students is : develop the worksheet to assist learning, forming study group, the development of discussion, development of teaching aids. Technical difficulties teachers in developing teaching methods that have not availability equipment or learning the facilities necessary. Academic difficulties of teachers in developing teaching methods is not to incompability beetween the perceptions of teachers with the meaning of learning in accordance with the theory.
The suggestions can be given as follows:
1. Advice for teachers
Evauiate the learning process and develop the role of teacher
2. Suggestions for School (Principal)
Creating a condusive school atmosphere, encourage students and teachers to be independent, compelete equipment and school facilities, involving parents to develop learning programs.
3. Advice for the government
provides an opportunity for the school to develop appropriate learning programs with the characteristics of schools and surrounding communities
4. Suggestions for institutes of higher education (university)
develop innovative university as a function of the field education (mathematics) and develop educational programs based on research and theoretical studies.
